Information Technology Executive Committee

Responsible for all major IT decision-making for the Institution and provides guidance as well as sets IT priorities in harmony with the Institution's strategic goals and mission.

To ensure that significant opportunities for leveraging technology are considered and opportunities for integration and collaboration are maximized, the Information Technology Executive Committee receives input from the Information Technology governance advisory committees.

Educational Technology Advisory Committee (Scope and Membership are currently in revision)

The Information Technology Educational Technology Advisory Committee is a Information Technology Governance advisory committee which provides oversight and sets priorities for the use of educational technologies that support the learning and teaching environments at BSC.

The committee gathers information about how educational technology can enhance instruction, evaluates that information, and makes recommendations to the Information Technology Executive Committee.

The IT Administrative Technology Advisory Committee is a Information Technology Governance advisory committee which provides oversight and sets priorities for the development and integration of the Institution's enterprise systems.

The committee gathers information about how information systems may enhance business processes and makes recommendations to the Information Technology Executive Committee.

Infrastructure & Data Security Advisory Committee (Scope and Membership are currently in revision)

The Information Technology Infrastructure & Data Security Advisory Committee is an Information Technology Governance advisory committee which provides oversight and sets priorities for information technology, data and security infrastructure.

The committee reviews policies and provides direction to ensure that the security, reliability, integrity and accessibility of enterprise level systems is maintained for all unit stakeholders and makes recommendations to the Information Technology Executive Committee.

Data Governance Committee

The Data Governance Committee is responsible for the development of a comprehensive framework that balances the institution's need for data with regulatory, compliance, privacy and security restrictions. In this capacity, Data Governance provides leadership for the creation, implementation and oversight of the enterprise-wide information and data management goals, standards, practices and processes while eliminating barriers to the legitimate use of data; provides expertise and support for all aspects of Information and Data Management including ownership, protection, privacy, information use, classification and retention; promotes enterprise-wide Data Management at an executive and senior management level.
