Patrick T. DeWind, B.S.

Patrick DeWind is a Senior Database Administrator working in the Enterprise Systems department at SUNY Buffalo State University. Among his responsibilities are administering Oracle databases and enterprise-scale applications, programming customizations and automated systems in several languages, updating internal processes to modern Agile/Scrum methodologies, and serving as interim director of Database Administration. His work serves the entire campus community primarily through the Banner student information system and the satellite systems which connect to it. 
 
He graduated with honors from Buffalo State with a dual baccalaureate (BA/BS) in Computer Information Systems and Philosophy in 1997, and has been serving the university as a full time employee since 1998. He has served on the College Senate, the Professional Staff Caucus executive board, and several committees including the Campus Safety and Community Policing Forum.
 
In his spare time he is an avid medievalist in the Society for Creative Anachronism where he has held several local offices in the global non-profit educational organization. He also enjoys reading, writing, language studies, and woodworking.
